Mirage Hardwood Floor Mouldings

Boa-Franc makes a number of floor mouldings to match their line of Mirage™ Hardwood Flooring. There is one big advantage of buying their proprietary brand. A flooring molding can be somewhat unique in both its profile and stain colour. Getting a molding designed by the manufacturer guarantees not only an exact meshing of the tongue and groove but also a perfect colour match.

That being said there are also some disadvantages. The typical hardwood floor manufacturer only makes their wood floor mouldings in set lengths.... typically 3' or 7'.. my guess is that this is for easy shipping, but to you the consumer, it is expensive if you need 14 pieces that are 4' long... in this situation I'd recommend that you source out unfinished floor mouldings that will take a little more effort to stain, but give you a much better yield on length and your bank book.

Your Mirage hardwood flooring will look significantly better and more professional in the installation if you have addressed all the transistions between floors with moldings that are accurate in both machining and staining.

Most of these floor mouldings should be available at your local Mirage Hardwood Floor Dealer in a range of stains and exotic wood species to match their selection of classic solid wood flooring and engineered hardwood. They are all prefinished and as suggested earlier, most only available in 7' lengths.

I have been led to believe that many of the Mirage floor dealers in the US are less inclined to stock this product .. so you may need to push a little to get them to bring it in... it is available!
