Wood Mouldings
Wood Casing: Window Treatment
Casing is the name given to the moulding used around windows
and doors. Its job is not only to be decorative, but also
to hide the seam between the drywall and and door or window
jamb. Window mouldings
can be installed in a number of ways to fit your decorators
touch, and typically the casing around your doorways is done
in a fashion to match.
Baseboards:
Baseboards as the name suggests are used around the "base"
of the room to hide the bottom seam of the drywall and the
gap between the flooring material and the wall. For many flooring
products, like hardwood
flooring where it is critical that it be installed away
from the wall to allow for seasonal expansion, the thickness
of the baseboard becomes an essential piece of information,
to be determine if it is going to be thick enough to hide
the required expansion space.

If you're looking for a trim around the ceiling, around the
top of your kitchen cabinets or to complete the top of a newly
build wall unit, it is typically a crown moulding you are
